Update On Ella's Hutch

The other night I finally got around to finishing Ella's hutch. Thanks Dad for letting me borrow your staple gun!
Before...

After!
I know it's not that noticeable, but I wanted to put fabric on the lower cabinet part so you wouldn't be able to see all her shoes or clothes that I choose to put in there.

Here's what the fabric looks like from the inside. It was super easy to do!

Oh yeah and I wanted to show you Ella's first piece of jewelry....Ga-Ga & Pa got this for her when they went to Leavenworth in October. I love that the clasp is one of those twist kind so she won't be able to pull it off. I'm hoping to put it on her as soon as she's big enough so she'll be so used to it she won't want to pull or tug at it. I'm also one of those Moms that wants to get my baby girl's ears pierced. I think we'll probably go in and have it done around 4 months or so. I can just envision her cute ears with little pearls in them. Of course I might change my mind between now and then. :)

Was searching for my GF's blog and came across yours. Like you, I was one of those moms who wanted their dd's ears pierced. I did it at 6wks.

I'd say if you're thinking about, then your mommy intuition is telling you earlier is better and I go ahead and do it now ... I can't deny that I just LOVe seeing babies and little girls with little gold studs in their ears.

Our ped gave me some suggestions for moms having their dd's ears pierced. Write me an e-mail and I will send them to you.
