Snow Day

Saturday night we had the first snow of the season. I actually didn't even know it was going to snow. I heard that it might snow on Friday night, but then when it didn't at our house I put it out of my mind. Then on Sunday morning I was sitting in our bedroom nursing Jack and I heard all this noise outside like someone dragging something across the pavement. I got so mad I thought someone was stealing equipment out of Michael's work van again. After I put Jack back to bed I went to our window to check it out and I had to blink a couple of times. There was snow outside!! The noise was from the cars driving over the crunchy snow on the road.

Owen's all suited up and ready to go play in the snow. This coat was another gift from my friend Katie. The crazy thing is it's a 12 month old coat and Owen is 1 month away from being 24 months old! He's such a little guy. Oh yeah and he doesn't have snow boots so those are rain boots I got at a garage sale. Don't worry he wasn't outside for too long!

Once Owen got out to the snow he wasn't quite sure what to do. He wouldn't willingly walk into the yard. Here Daddy is trying to coax him out.

Finally Daddy just had to go get him.

Owen ended up having a great time, but it was SO cold that Daddy wanted to come and and boy he was NOT happy about that!
