Our school year is actually a whole calendar year. Whenever I register the kids for school they have a year from that date to finished their work. Of course our last day of school was in May, but Jackson still had to finish up his state report. Once he finished that I had to mail his report and all the kids' PACE tests into Lighthouse Christian Academy. They review all the PACE tests to make sure the scoring was done correctly. There are usually a couple PACE tests where I either missed something or just didn't calculate the score correctly. Once those PACE tests got reviewed and signed off on then our school year was officially over. Prior to that I had to keep all the kids PACE's they had completed throughout the whole school year. I have a big 4 drawer file cabinet that I keep everything in. It was really nice to be able to clear that out in preparation for the new PACE's that would be coming in for the upcoming school year.
Here's Owen with all of his completely PACE's for his 8th grade year. He did Math, English, Word Building, Social Studies and Science. This year he has two more subjects...Biblical Studies and Health.
Jack had all the same PACE's as Owen with the exception of only having 6 Social Studies PACE's. He only had to complete 6 since he had to focus on his state report. He got a 92% on his State Report!!!
Ella and Zeke both have an extra PACE that the older boys don't have....Literature/Creative Writing.
Zeke could barely hold up all his completely PACE's!
Looking forward to the new school year!
