To celebrate our 23rd Wedding Anniversary we had made reservations to go to Salty's in Seattle on Monday, May 9th. Unfortunately on Mother's Day afternoon I succumbed to a cold. I did not feel well for a few days so we had to push out our reservation. Then one of Michael's water worker friends invited us to go on a double date so we rescheduled out reservations again. Finally on June 2nd, we were able to make it to our Anniversary dinner.
Since we were going into Seattle it seemed silly to have Michael come all the way home and then just turn around and head back in the direction he came from so I just went and picked up him instead. Our reservation was for 5:15pm. We had a really nice table with a terrific view. They even put rose petals on the table....you can't really see then because our menus are covering them up.
Our waiter was so nice and very friendly. He didn't rush us at all and made lots of small talk, but it was nice and didn't feel irritating.
We chose the calamari for our appetizer and it was AMAZING! Those peppers were so yummy too. It was also huge...that's not a small plate at all!
We each got a drink...Michael got a habanero margarita and I got a huckleberry lemon drop. They were both really yummy. For dinner Michael got a blackened salmon pasta dish. I had a yummy steak salad. At the end the waiter came out with this super rich white chocolate mousse cake in honor of our anniversary. They even had a card signed by all the employees. I was so full from dinner there was no way I could eat more so we packaged up the cake and the waiter packed up four smaller individual pieces of cake because we had talked about our kids and he didn't want them to be jealous and he didn't want us to have to share. He was absolutely the best! It was a real treat and a great way to celebrate...even if it was almost a month late! :)
