Last week in preparation for Halloween we thought it would be fun to have the boys paint their pumpkins. We did this last year except we used finger paints and the paint never dried. So this year we ended up just using regular old latex paint that we had around the house.
First things first though...Michael put the boys in some of his old painter shirts so they wouldn't get their clothes all yucky. They looked so cute and they were SO excited to look just like Daddy!
Daddy put a big tarp on the garage floor and then opened the paint cans.
At first we were trying to keep the mess under control so we had them just getting the paint off the lids.
Here's Jack's pumpkin...Daddy helped him a bit. Does anyone watch The Mentalist? Doesn't this remind you of the whole Red John calling card?
Here's Owen's pumpkin!
They got tired of painting the pumpkins fairly quick so Daddy brought out paper so they could continue being creative. Jack doesn't really understand the whole painting thing so he just kept dunking his brush in the can and then putting it in the same spot on the paper...it was literally a lake of paint.
Owen had fun mixing colors and even got creative with Daddy by putting his feet and hands in the paint and making prints. Of course the grand finale of the night was a hot bath!
Hi my name is Lyndsay...I was name after the actress Lindsay Wagner. My brothers name is Ryan so my mom thought it would be fun to spell my name with an Ly to match his. I didn't meet another person who spelled their name like me until I was in high school. Speaking of high school that's where I met my husband. We were both 16 years old. We got engaged at 17 and were married on May 8th, 1999 when we were 18 years. We struggled for 6 years with infertility, but then on January 15th, 2007 God blessed us with Owen. After that the kids started popping out..Jack was next, Ella our only girl and finally we finished at the end of the alphabet with Zeke. I'm a stay at home mom and I volunteer at church and school. Life is crazy, but life is good!
