Random Stuff From June 2025

There were a bunch of random things going on in June so I figured I would blog about those as well.

These 3 all started their jobs right around the same time. Jack and Ella worked at Wild Waves as lifeguards and Justine got a job at the Tukwila Pool as a swim instructor.

Watching Michael play a game and synchronized arm holding / head leaning!

One Saturday we needed to go down to Ga-Ga & Pa's so I could pick up the furniture they were giving us. We decided to stick the Queen Anne chairs in the car like they were the actual car seats. These boys were so serious!

For the most part!

On the way home we stopped at MCD's to get lunch. I was driving the van filled with furniture so only Justine could ride with me. Owen was driving the truck with Zeke and they had a bunch of furniture as well. When we got to MCD's, Zeke jumped in the van to watch reels with Justine while I ordered the food on my app. Then I just decided to go through the drive through and drive home with them sharing the front seat. It wasn't a big deal though since MCD's is right outside our neighborhood and as you can see they were both strapped in.

Cuties!

Father's Day!

The kids wrote nice cards to Daddy...Owen even got him a $100 gift card.

We all pitched in and got him one big gift...the only way to "wrap" it had been to cover it with blankets.

Michael totally knew what it was. He's such a goof! He wanted a rowing machine!

Eating out at Olive Garden to celebrate the Dad's. Ga-Ga got covered up by me and Michael.

This is what Jack and Zeke's room looks like most of the time. This was the track that Zeke got for his birthday. They've built it and rebuilt it over and over again.

Owen received so many graduation cards from friends and family. He was cute in the beginning he didn't understand why people were sending him cards and why they would give him money for just doing his schoolwork. I guess I forgot to explain that portion of graduating and since he wasn't in public school and he's the first born he didn't know any better.

Miss Jen got creative with his gift and rolled the money so it was the year 2025!

Bowlero Date Night!

On Sunday, June 22nd, Ella and Justine wanted to go out for a date night to celebrate being together for 1 year and 2 months.

After church they wanted to chill out and watch a show and then they wanted to go out. I thought it was hilarious how Justine was just resting his hand on Ella's head while they were watching their show.

Our first stop on the date night was the beach at Redondo.

It was a gorgeous!

Michael and I sat down the beach a bit so we were out of ear shot of the two lovebirds. I think in all we were there around an hour.

They chatted and also took fun sunset pictures of each other.

I love this pictures of them!

Then is was off to Bowlero!

Since it was a date Justine paid for him and Ella. We decided to go ahead and pay $22 for unlimited bowling for 3 hours.

Once we got our shoe sizes all figured out it was time to bowl.

I did really great the first game...I think I got at least 3 strikes. After that things went downhill in regards to my score.

Michael and I got a couple drinks from the bar...someone actually came by and cleaned up my drink before I was finished drinking it so I ended up getting another one for free. Score! Ella and Justine got these milkshakes that looked amazing!

I think these two had a great time. I'm sure they're looking forward to a time when they can go on dates by themselves, but for the time being double dates work!

We had a lot of fun bowling and the atmosphere of the bowling alley was great overall. Towards the end of the night one song came on and the video for it was pretty inappropriate. Shortly after that it was time to go anyways so it wasn't a big deal.

Jack's 17th Birthday!

For Jack's party this year we had a simple dinner at home with family and close friends. This year May & June were crazy!!! We had Zeke's birthday, Owen's graduation, Jack's birthday all within 2 weeks. Then we had the end of school and Papa & Pa's 75th birthday party...like I said CRAZY!

Praying for the food!

Jackson is a hamburger and French fry kind of guy so that's just what we had. I also bought him cherries which he loves!

I made sweet potato fries and homemade russet fries.

It was nice getting to sit down and visit with everyone.

Ella is like....okay Mom...you can leave! Yep we are totally at that phase now!

Of course these two entertained themselves for a bit with gaming!

Justine has become part of our family at this point. He's around for any big event and he's also at our house Sundays, most Wednesdays and Saturdays.

Ruth & Ga-Ga loves getting to chat with each other!

By this point in time Ga-Ga & Pa's house had been on the market for months, but thankfully shortly after this they got an offer and were able to buy a condo that's only 1.6 miles from our house. It's been amazing having them live so close to us!

Always a fun time when we get to hang out with the Storer's. Their kids all come to our house every Sunday, but getting to sit down and hang out with Micah and Kim isn't something we get to do very often.

Jack got to open the OJEZ box and got $117!

Justine got Jack is American flag guitar strap!

Owen, Ella and Zeke pitched in and got Jack some Disney Cars cars to go with Zeke's track that he got for his birthday.

Michael and I got him more cars as well and I also bought him a new jean jacket when I took him in for his birthday pictures at JCPenney's. Don't let the meh smile fool you he really liked his gifts!

Jack also got money from The Storer's & Papa & Ruth.

Look at this hottie! He was my date for the party! ;)

Jackson is a pie lover....he'll pick pie over cake any day. Costco didn't have apple, but they did have an apple berry pie which I think he liked even better than an ordinary apple pie. We bought 2 of those Costco sized pies and I think Jack ended up eating one all by himself over the next few days after the party. Miss Kim made homemade vanilla ice cream which so was yummy!

Jack and Andrew 17 years of friendship and counting!

A successful birthday celebration!

Owen's Graduation Pictures!

Back in January we met Starr at our church for Owen's graduation pictures. My friend Starr who has taken our family pictures for over 15 years came out to take Owen's pictures. We decided to have them taken at church since because Owen plays the piano and we wanted to have pictures of him sitting at the mini grand piano. I also really wanted to have pictures with the cross in the background because Pa & Mr. Richie built the cross. Mr. Richie passed away during Covid, but he left such a legacy behind and that cross is most definitely part of that legacy.

The lighting in the church is a little dark, but I still really love how the pictures turned out.

Whenever Owen needs to dress up a little fancy he always grabs his burgundy pullover. He'll even tell you that burgundy is his color and I totally agree!

I love to watch Owen play the piano!

Watching his fingers dance over the keys is my favorite part!

I did have him change once into a more casual outfit.

Owen loves books so we had to have a picture with him reading.

Such a handsome guy!

Since it wasn't raining we took advantage of that and took some outside shots as well.  It was however, a bit chilly!

This is one of my favorite shots!

It was so bittersweet getting his pictures taken...it all happened so fast!
