I really liked doing those random posts last year so I'm gonna keep up the trend.
On one of our many trips to Lowe's to get supplies for Michael, Ella and I saw this rack of fleece coats. Ella tried this one on and loved it. I think it's funny that Lowe's sells clothes and at the same time it's genius!
On January 11th the youth group had a coffee fundraiser to raise money for the upcoming winter camp...Pinnacle. Last year we did this, but it was ran more by the adults. This time around we had the youth doing most of the work. We even had a training on a Wednesday night so they could learn how to steam milk and make espresso. We had the ordering/payment table set up right when you walked down the hallway.
After ordering your drink one of the workers at the payment table would take your cup over to one of the two drink stations where our lovely coffee makers would get to work. Your name was written on the cup so once they were done they would call out your name and you could pick up your drink.
Pastor Christian is most definitely enjoying his cup of coffee!
There were some kinks to work out in the beginning like the fact that we had drinks listed on the menu that we didn't even know how to make! :) It was fun and the kids didn't a great job working and they earned a bunch of money towards winter camp.
Owen and Jack finally found something that they enjoy doing together...playing the boardgame Slay The Spire!
On January 20th, Owen purchased the Chrysler Aspen from Pa!
We were all so terribly sick during the month of January that we weren't able to celebrate Owen's birthday until the 29th. We had dinner and dessert with Grandparents and Justine.
I tried to make a 19 with candles and it took so long to light them all wax was dripping all over the cake.
All us adults went around and gave Owen a word of advise...I wish I recorded it! Can't believe my oldest is on his last year as a teen!
