Random Picture Challenge

Owen loves to push the stroller. This was one of the many times I took the boys to the little park by our house. Thankfully Jack didn't mind when Owen would turn the stroller and the sun would shine right in his face.

Random Picture Challenge

This weeks challenge from Brittany is to post the 18th photo from your September 2008 folder.

This was my attempt at a photo shot with Owen and Jack together. Owen stuck around for one photo so I just kept taking pictures of Jack. He was 3 months old here. He was still giving us those shocked eyes whenever we took his picture. He actually has this cute outfit in two sizes so he'll be wearing it again coming up soon. In fact I might just try to find it today.

Random Picture Challenge

Today Brittany challenged us to go all the way back to 2002. Unfortunately I didn't get a digital camera until 2005 so this will have to do.

For our 6th wedding anniversary Michael and I decided to be tourist around Seattle. Even though we live here we don't do a bunch of the tourist stuff. So we bought a City Pass and hit most of the attractions. The day we went to The Aquarium we went to The Crab Pot down on the pier. If you've never been is was strangely fun. The table is covered in paper then they give you those lovely bibs to wear and a mallet. They bring your food in one big pot and dump it in the middle of the table. At first I was totally taken aback by this, but then you realize that everyone is eating like that and you forget all about looking like a barbarian and enjoy your food.

Side note: Thank goodness my style has changed. I still own that shirt, but my hair look so much better now. I'm sure in 5 years I'll say the exact same thing about my hair style now though. Funny how that works!

Random Photo Challenge

It's back!!! Our challenge this week from Brittany is to post the 42nd photo (or 4th if you don't have that many...I was surprised that I did) from either your April 2008 folder or 13th folder.

So here is the 42nd photo from my April 2008 folder.

This was just at the beginning of our yard project last year. Michael is digging a trench around the driveway in order to build the forms to lay the curbing. What a job! Now that I look back on it, it was definitely the start of Owen becoming a bigger boy and want to be just like Daddy. And if you're wondering I think my husband will forgive me for posting a picture of him with his underwear showing...after all I've posted a photos of him in the tub before. :)

Random Photo Challenge

Today's challenge from Brittany is to post the 33rd picture from your February 2008 folder or your 17th folder. I choose my the 33rd photo from my 17th folder.

Owen is 10 months old here. He's playing with the dinosaur toy that Aunt Linda gave us. This toy is still out and he still plays with it. Not so much with the balls that came with it, but he drives his cars down the neck of the dinosaur and has them come out the mouth or he takes his Sesame Street characters and lines them up on the tail. Jack will be 10 months old tomorrow, but he doesn't seems to care for it that much....unless Owen is playing with it!

This week Brittany challenge is to post the 27th photo from either your 27th folder or your December 2007 folder. I choose the 27th photo from my 27th folder.

This was May 19th 2008, I was less than a month away from giving birth to Jack. Michael was working in a retirement community just a few minutes from home so I packed us a lunch and we had a picnic on the grass near the clubhouse. I didn't bring Owen's portable highchair so he wasn't really interested in eating since he had free reign of the place. Of course he wasn't going to go hungry so he did make a mess of himself eating a Girl Scout Thin Mint cookie.

This weeks challenge from 4 Little Men and Girly Twins is to post the first picture in your third folder that has brown in it.

This picture was taken on February 16 2007. It was Peepaw's 87th birthday. We had gone out to Maria Calendar's for dinner and this was the first of many 4 generation pictures we took before Peepaw passed away in October 2008. Sadly we never got one 4 generation picture with Jack.

A little late this week, but no big deal. Head over to 4 Little Men and Girly Twins and check out all the other random photos. This week you are supposed to pick a photo from your February 2009 or 1st folder and it has to be the FIRST picture of something other than your kids! I had just recently posted those photos so I'm posting one from the first folder in my 2008 folder. This is an afghan I made for a Owen LONG before I was even pregnant. I knew I wanted to do a Noah's Ark theme for years and since it look us 6 LONG years to get pregnant I had lots of time to make some fun things. I crocheted this afghan and I also made two monkeys, elephants and giraffes to go with it. They are super cute!

It's back after a week hiatus...this weeks challenge from Brittany is to post 11th picture from our September 2007 folder. Here it is...

This is Michael's Aunt Vicki holding Owen and Kayla. We were at Michael's cousin Carissa's wedding in Oregon. It was Owen first time going to Oregon outside of my belly. He doesn't look very happy because it's past his bedtime. The main thing I remember about this trip other than the wedding is we had just found out the weekend before that we were pregnant, but I didn't want to take the limelight away from Carissa so we didn't tell anyone...it was so hard!

This week we've been challenged by Brittany to post our 3rd picture from either our January 2007 or our 13th picture folder. I chose the 13th picture folder because Owen was born in January of 2007 and I've already posted a pretty awesome picture of his birth. This picture was taken on Easter 2007. This was the day that Owen said his first word. He said "Hi" twice that day. I love this picture because it's so totally disfunctional in that it's not the typical perfect family picture that you save. My mom isn't looking at the camera, GG's eyes are closed, I look drunk, Michael looks giddy and Owen is just plain pissed off. I love it!!!

I'm late with my Random Picture this week. Check out 4 Little Men and Girly Twins to see all the different challenge this week.

This picture was taken by either Ga-Ga or Pa. It was the first time we had left Owen overnight and they were watching him for us. We were over in Sequim at a B & B that wasn't the best, but we still had fun. We both missed Owen to pieces and were happy to come home. He still loves to take out all the Tupperware and measuring cups and play with them.

It's time for another Random Picture Challenge over at 4 Little Men & Girly Twins. This weeks picture is suppose to be the 30th picture from your August 2007 folder.

Owen was 7 months old in this picture. He spent a lot of time on our love seat. It was positioned right in front of the window so he loved to stand up and look outside. He drooled SO bad when he was teething it's very rare to find a picture of him where he's not wearing a bib. On this day I let him try beef jerky for the first time since my mom said that she used to let me chew on it when I was teething. He really enjoyed it.

Michael took this picture of me in the OR while the doctors are pulling Owen out of me. It's amazing that I couldn't feel any pain just pressure. Sorry if this grosses anyone out.

Randon Picture Challenge

I'm joining in with Brittany over at 4 Little Men & Girly Twins for a Randon Picture Challenge. You have to go to your May picture folder and pick the 21st picture and post it.

This picture was taken on Saturday May 17th and I didn't even have to look in the properties of the picture to know that. I'm just weird with dates that way. I remember it so well because this was the day I wanted Jack to be born. It was so hot this day the thermometer said 98 degrees. Owen had been running around in the sprinkler staying cool. Ga-Ga was being silly with him by putting his sunhat on her head.
