Thank You Mom!

I've been thinking about this post for a long time now, but of course with all the distractions that are my life I'm just now getting around to posting it. How nice that it's Mother's Day!

There are so many things to be thankful for when it comes to my mom so here goes...

Thank you first of all for giving your body over to morning sickness, stretch marks, tossing and turning to find the right position to sleep, peeing almost around the clock and then experiencing immense pain just to bring me into the world.

Thank you for dealing with the fact that I would only stay with you or Auntie Linda for the first three years of my deserve a metal for that one!

Thank you for letting me ride standing up behind you in the car and introducing me to the awesome music that was the 80's!

Thank you for teaching me to blow a bubble with my gum!

Thank you for coming outside in the snow to rescue me when my snow boot and sock came off. Also thanks for not strangling Ryan for laughing at me and not helping me. I'm sure at the time I would have been fine with that, but I'd miss him now! :)

Thank you for letting me climb around in the back of the Suburban during our move to Washington state. I can't even imagine letting my kids do that now, but boy was it fun!

Thank you for putting Vapor Rub on my chest and heating up a towel to wrap around my neck when I was sick. Nothing felt better than that!

Thank you for cutting my nectarines into wedges even though you didn't want to. Sorry about the stitches by the way! :)

Thank you for taking my hand asking me if I was ready and then walking me up to the front of the church towards Pastor Applebee starting my walk with my Savior!

Thank you for going back to work to send us kids to Christian School.

Thank you for letting me lay on your "pillows"!

Thank you for not smacking me into the next county when I ran over your foot with the vacuum cleaner. Oh and for introducing me to the word damn it! ;)

Thank you for taking me to work with you and letting me play on other people's computers and run up and down the stairs.

Thank you for being my "out" if I didn't feel like doing something!

Thank you for all the times you wiped my nose, cleaned up my messes and ran after me with a garbage can while I was running through the house puking!

Thank you for always cleaning my room while I was away at summer camp!

Thank you for putting up with and surviving my teen years...bless you!

Thank for supporting me in more ways than I'm sure I'll ever know.

Thank you for praying for me yearning that one day I would be a mommy too!

Thank you for loving my kids to the moon and back!

Thank you for being my Mom, but also my friend!

Happy Mother's Day!
