This year we went to our friend's Al & Caroline's house for 4th of July. They have a beautiful house in Normandy Park. In fact I seriously think that it should be in magazine it's just gorgeous!
The garden alone is fabulous and their son Justin loves to dabble in landscape design. This fountain is in their backyard and it's breathtaking.
Caroline asked the guests to bring either a salad, dessert or chips. I knew I could totally get away with just bringing chips since could play the "I have 3 kids and no time" card, but I didn't want that to limit myself. I bought this trifle dish from Pampered Chef quite awhile ago and have only used it once before. I decided what's the 4th of July without a strawberry and blueberry patriotic dessert. The funny thing is...another friend brought one too! :)
Kim and Micah enjoying the yummy food!
Andrew & Jack havin' a good time!
Ella was such a mess, but what's new...in fact I can not get this onsie of hers to come clean!
After the adults played volleyball...during which I served an entire game and won...all 15 points were mine and the other team didn't get a single one! YAHOO! Anyways after volleyball Justin brought out his $20 pack of fireworks and we had a blast. It wasn't over the top, but it was just right. This was our kids first experience with fireworks and it was fun!
After the big shebang the kids got to do sparklers, but I was a little busy helping kids to get pictures of that! It was a great 4th of July and I'm actually looking forward to doing fireworks next year with the kids. I love the fun pretty ones and seeing them again was like bringing out the kid in me!
