Superbowl Sunday / Making Meals

On Superbowl Sunday Micah and Kim came over so Kim and I could make freezer meals together and the guys could watch the game. Micah had to run home since Kim forgot some of her ingredient and when he came back he brought frozen pizzas for us to have for dinner. Once dinner was done we thought it would be fun to set the kids up in the living room with the Dads so they could eat and watch the game too.
Isn't this too cute....all the guys eating pizza and watching football!

Remember when I talked about my tradition of doing Dinner's Ready right before the kids are born? Well I looked into it and a bunch of them have closed (darn economy) so the closest one that we could go to and actually put the meals together ourselves was in Shoreline or Kirkland! Don't think so! So Kim found this blog where they have a bunch recipes to make your own freezer meals. It was a lot of fun and I got 6 meals out of it!

We made stuffed manicotti, taco casserole, enchiladas casserole, stuffed chicken breasts, salmon pasta skillet and mini cheddar meatloaves. It took us about 3 hours, but that included us breaking for dinner, having kids running all around us and cleaning up. I'm definitely looking forward to doing it again.
