Special Delivery

This morning we had the first of a couple special deliveries to our house. We ordered 3 pallets of concrete blocks. That's a total of 270 blocks! We decided to pay the $79 delivery fee instead of having to borrow someones truck and make a million trips back and forth to Lowe's. It was well worth it.
The truck arrived at the house a little after 8am.

Thankfully the boys and I had finished breakfast...I don't think I would have been able to pry Owen away from this action. I mean there was a big truck involved!

There was this awesome forklift on the back of the truck that took the pallets off the truck.

Thankfully the forklift was able to fit down the easement since the blocks are for the retaining wall we are going to build in the backyard. I was worried they would have to drop them off in the driveway instead and Michael would have to carry them down.

Perfect fit!

Of course the forklift made noise so Owen watched from a safe distance.

The driver did a great job getting all three pallets down there. I think it took less than a half an hour and they were gone.

Tomorrow we're having 5 yards of topsoil and 5 yards of gravel delivered. It's going to go right where the van is parked. After that we have to start the hard manual labor of digging a trench for the wall.
