Today we went to Owen's pediatrician to have his 3 stitches removed. He was quite nervous this morning and kept saying, "We're not going bye bye right now?" I told him the doctor was going to take out his stitches and it was going to tickle and he might feel a tug, but it wasn't going to hurt. The doctor did push and look at the cut and that bothered Owen, but when it came to having the stitches taken out he did great and he did say it tickled.
His cut is looking a lot better! Since his hand was bandaged pretty well for the last week and it was sensitive he's gotten used to not using it. Thankfully the last day or so he's been moving it more and more. We have been reminding him to use his hand when we see him doing a task using only his left hand when he could be using both hands. I know that now that the stitches are out and it's feeling better he's going to probably forget about babying it and just start using it again all on his own.
